I took Minnie for her first chiropractor appointment today. (She had been having neck/back spasms w/ lots of pain off and on since Memorial Day) He found her 1st vertebra to be out of alignment. He did something, she let out a YIP, and then we had to try and keep her still for 15 minutes! (Harder than it sounds!) I can see her neck again! Time will tell if it holds. He said definitely no more tug-of-war!

He does the chiropractic's on the Texas Tech polo ponies. My vet even called him to take a look at his daughter's barrel racing horse. Slowly, maybe traditional medicine will start to see the value of these noninvasive procedures.

I talked to him about myself. Mentioned the NUCCA technique that Kiki mentioned. He was aware of it and explained that it (NUCCA) and the Blair technique that he uses are similar in that they involve concentration on the upper cervical area. He also said that the Grostic technique is similar. He did a nerve test on my spine. It printed out on a graph type strip. (Looked like a polygraph) There was areas of sharp ups and downs in my neck area. I think I am going to give it a try.

,

I'll call his office on Monday and ask him. I'll let you know! How's it going in Austin? Here in West Texas, we have been having unusually cool days and quite a bit of rain. That means humidity! My curly hair sure wants to do it's own thing!

Marcie,

Thanks. It's been great in Austin, for August. Also cooler, which means mid to high 80's, instead of high 90-100. and rain here too! I was on a boat on Lake Austin yesterday, and it started to pour. Very exciting, especially since I was on a the boat with 25 15 year olds for a birthday party party. It was a BIG boat.

Your canine-human chiro, sounds cool.I have 3 dogs, 2 mutts and a mini dacshund, and I'd do anything for them as they would (and do)for me.
