Guest guest
Hi all, Still weeding through my gazillion emails and digests that landed in my inbox while I was on the other side of the globe. But noticed the thread about chiropractic care and had to comment. I've been dedicated to chiro care for over a decade now and credit it with curing my TMJ...since I started recieving regular adjustments I no longer have to sleep with an annoying mouthguard. It also helped me with other pain issues related to motherhood- such as breastfeeding. While pregnant and nursing I was sure to get adjustments atleast once a week. I still see my chiropractor once a month, minimum, as does my whole family. It has definitely helped me through some of the recovery issues after my surgery for thyroid cancer. And I do believe it helps my neurological symptoms and some of my chronic pain. It also cured a bout of bad migraines. I had them nearly daily in 1998-99. Have not had one since thanks to my chiropractors. (knock wood) My daughter has been seeing a chiropractor since she was 18 months old and my son since he was 5 days old. If I had known how good it is for children I would have started my daughter even sooner! Kids run, jump and play...then fall down and even those little injuries can cause subluxations that cause problems later down the road. There are published studies that prove that children of chiropractors are 80% healthier than the children of medical doctors. They take fewer antibiotics, get over viruses and the flu faster, have fewer illnesses in general and tend to be more active thereby avoiding the problem with obesity that is becoming a very serious problem with the youth of today. My DH was a non-believer until I converted him- He inherited some lumbar problems from his dad which are made worse by his piloting seat on the airplane. So I told him to give me 3 weeks at my chiropractor's office. If in that time he didn't feel it helped or did not like it he could stop permanently. He now goes regularly without me even having to make the appointment for him. In fact last week he made all the appointments for the whole family. Now that is dedication! Lara -Back in cool & rainy Seattle after narrowly missing SuperTyphoon Chaba on Guam...we got off the island just before it hit. Fortunately, Guam did not get the worst of the storm...but there is another typhoon brewing...so I'm glad to be on this side of the Pacific! Guest guest
Wow, you found a chiro that works on TMJ directly? I've been to quite a few, and currently consider having 3, but only one of them works on my TMJ directly. It is not an easy adjustment to make at all. Scares the heck outta me too. I never had to have a mouthguard, but those annoying SNAPS used to get to me! OUCH!!! Mine fixed my TMJ years ago and it only needed to be readjusted following dentist visits in the last 2 years, twice. My family goes to one locally, I go 30 miles to my Father and Son team. I've seen them quite a lot in the last 2 years, still going every 2 weeks. Having problems with my insurance, they're not covering my visits any more. ----- Original Message ----- From: Lara Schuchat low dose naltrexone Sent: Wednesday, August 25, 2004 23:30 Subject: [low dose naltrexone] chiro care Hi all,Still weeding through my gazillion emails and digests that landed in myinbox while I was on the other side of the globe.
