Guest guest
Hi,Though there is standard way, when we write in MS word 2003, it shows error when we do not leave spaces. This automatically makes us accept the computer. Is there a solution for this?AnupamaFrom: dtchaturvedi <dtchaturvedi@...>Subject: Controversies on space bar, comma, semicolon, and fullstop.netrum Date: Wednesday, 27 July, 2011, 8:52 AM Below mentioned is a standard example taken from ICMJE.ORG{© 2009 International Committee of Medical Journal Editors. .} The example mentioned below is reference number-3 from the site mentioned below. It has been copied as such and I presume that icmje.org is the most suitable site to follow the Vancouver style of references. However journals that follow URM are also listed in this site. Any journal out of this might have some amended rules for following the Vancouver style of referencing which one must abide by when sending articles to that particular journal. Please follow the link: http://www.icmje.org/references_1print.html Example from icmje.org---- Flanagin A, Fontanarosa PB, DeAngelis CD. Authorship for research groups. JAMA. 2002;288:3166-8. Please note: 1. Here in this reference we can clearly see that each author's name has a space after the coma. 2. The article title has a space after the full stop. 3. The journal abbreviation has a space before and after it (.spaceJAMA.space) 4. But---- year;vol number:page number---do not have any space in between Happy networking!!!! Guest guest
Hi Anupama When we write names of various authors the comp. shows a spelling mistake but don't we ignore that, similarly we will ignore the grammatical errors shown by it too. Do not rectify them dear.
