Hello Ldners

Does anybody taking the 4.5mg capsule suffer any muscles stiffness

when they started taking it the first few days? I have been taking

4.5 mg for a week now and have been stiff in my muscles all day. I

took a 3mg tablet to just get the side effect of muscle stiffness to

go away. I am trying to break myself into the 4.5mg. I took avonex

for over a year instead of getting better I grew worse. I had real

bad side effects on the avonex. I went to the neuro and demanded he

write me a prescription for naltrexone. He didnt object at all

because I brought documentation to the appointment. He was

impressed. Not all neuros are closed minded. I will tell you this.

I am completely different person since he last seen me which was in

January. I have improved that much on naltrexone. If anybody says

naltrexone doesnt work. They are a liar. It has worked for me. I

hope naltrexone works well for everyone else who tries it.

Sincerely,

Twinman

I had stiff muscles for almost a month and a half before I noticed they had gone away. Initially I started on 3.5 for a week, got the stiff muscles, so decided to go to 4.5 then, after 2 more weeks, I went to 6mg for a week to see if that did anything (nothing) so stepped back to 4.5 and this is where I have stayed. I still get stiff muscles in the morning and when I sit for a long time, just the same as before I started the LDN.

Been on LDN for 61 days. Improvements have come so slowly for me that I need to stop and seriously look at where I am. I am happy that I can 'tell' my toes to bend and they . . . sort of . . . do.

Avonex, so you have been there too. I shudder at the memory of it. Actually ALL injections give me the willys now. I can honestly say that both Avo, Rebif and Copax have not stopped my progression, but I will say that Copax is the only one that gave me no noticeable side effects. In the end I hope in a few months to feel confident enough with LDN to drop my current Copaxone habit.

Good to hear that you are reaping the benefits of the LDN. I think stiff muscles are a possible side effect when you start LDN, it's just something you have to get through.

Yes I too have had and even now after ten months continue to have muscle stiffness, I was under the impression that everyone has a certain amount of this with M.S.

I had it right from the very first dose and even when changing from 1.5 to 6.0 mgs it is the same or worse.

But I still wouldn't give up my LDN to get rid of the stiffness if it meant going back to incontinence. Man I hate that word!

Reg.
