Hence results must: - Describe in detail what you found - Describe patients/participants well - Match your methods section with results - Avoid unexpected groups appearing - Avoid disappearance of groups/participants Result section must: - Describe the findings in words - Describe the findings in a logical sequence - Illustrate the findings with a typical example - Build the interest of reader to read further - Prepare readers to read the discussion which is to follow Illustrations /graphs AUGMENT the written text. Picture = thousand words Illustrations /graphs should be self explanatory and able to stand alone Avoid abbreviations in illustrations/graphs What is shown in table should not duplicate in illustrations/ graphs Usually expected results are reported in manscripts One must REPORT unexpected findings Also one must REPORT negative findings.
