Now, a few sips and I'm pushing the rest over to my husband to finish in the hopes that I'll be able to walk out as opposed to sloshing under the door in a stupor (cheap date)! Does any of this getting higher on less, or needing more, have to do with the fact that Naltrexone was originally used to treat drug or alcohol addicts? Guest guest
This topic what an eye opener. .. . lol I've been on LDN since Feb. I can remember the first several weeks I started LDN, whenever I went out to dinner with my husband or friends I was such a cheap date one glass of wine and I was toasted! I had no idea what was happening. . . lol This only lasted for a short while however, I'm back to being able to have two to three glasses and still be in complete control. Glad to hear that this is a norm with many of you. From: arlizotte@... [mailto:arlizotte@...] Sent: Saturday, September 11, 2004 2:55 PMlow dose naltrexone Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] A. Guest guest
Drinking and MS was explained to me by my neuro, 1 beer to me is like a few beers to a normal person (sans MS without) I'd start seeing dble after a few. Recovery (HANGOVER) took a cple days from 3/4 beers. ----- Original Message ----- From: Baden low dose naltrexone Sent: Saturday, September 11, 2004 4:45 PM Subject: RE: [low dose naltrexone] A. Guest guest
Arlene, I pretty much stopped drinking long before I started taking LDN but I do have a couple of beers on occasion. The only difference I've noticed is that I really don't enjoy beer that much anymore. I could pound them down with the best of them before MS knocked me on my ass. Now that I don't need alcohol to make me walk like a drunk I pretty much avoid it. There are many other things that MS has taken away that I miss more than alcohol. I used to drink wine occasionally, now I don't even think about it. In fact, one time we went to a Mex restaurant and I ordered a margharita (sp). I took one sip and was so drunk, my husband said if I ever got another one, he would order it in a thimble! Arlene
