Guest guest
I would be interested in POT in a pill form without the psychic effect(intoxicated effect in my case).I think there is on the market.Anyone knows where? Also, there is a canadian company name Sativa i think who are in clinical trial with pot. ----- Original Message ----- From: conniedelvaux low dose naltrexone Sent: Saturday, September 11, 2004 1:41 PM Subject: [low dose naltrexone] LDN dosage 7 cannibis long term benefits for MS I've been on the 3mg for about 3 months. At first, it really cutdown on muscle spasms, helped me sleep, and cut down on fatigue. I'venoticed in the last week that the spasms are back (somewhat) and Itire more easily. Should I try going up to the 4.5 or just let it gofor awhile? I read some posts where people say the higher dose makesthem stiff. Also, I read an article in News that is datelined Exeter,England which states that cannabis-based treatments may havelonger-term benefits for MS patients, according to scientists. I won'tgo into the details; you can read this, but I am always cautious abouttreatments like this. I know a lot of people advocate the use of potfor muscle spasms, but I taught school for too many years and saw theeffects of pot on students I worked with to be in favor of this. Anycomments? Guest guest
Hi Connie, I've been using marijuana to treat spasms for about 9 years and I swear that it's more effective than baclofen. My doctor told me that he could give me a prescription for Marinol but he has heard from other patients that smoking it was more effective. I really don't feel any hallucinogenic effects from smoking it so I must have built up an immunity to it. Just remember that marijuana had been used for medicinal purposes for centuries until it was outlawed in 1937. If people realized how helpful it can be for many illnesses the drug companies would lose millions. Just like LDN, they wouldn't be able to make huge profits on marijuana. If it were legal we whould have the right to grow our own so they wouldn't make anything. That's why they spend millions to keep it illegal. It would wipe the need for many of their over the counter remedies. I don't think that it's something that kids should be using but it does help relieve certain medical problems. Don't be afraid of it. Guest guest
Cool.Do you have any psychic or intoxication feeling with Marinol?Apparently they have isolated the THC element.I know that smoking pot high in THC would cause me intoxication feeling and psychyc heavyness.I'm interested in Marinol coz i have spasms from irritable bowel.I don't know if it would help IBS BTW. ----- Original Message ----- From: chrdana7@... low dose naltrexone Sent: Saturday, September 11, 2004 8:29 PM Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] LDN dosage 7 cannibis long term benefits for MS Hi Connie, I've been using marijuana to treat spasms for about 9 years and I swear that it's more effective than baclofen. Guest guest
Just ask your doctor to prescribe Marinol. It will probably help you. -------------- Original message -------------- Cool.Do you have any psychic or intoxication feeling with Marinol?Apparently they have isolated the THC element.I know that smoking pot high in THC would cause me intoxication feeling and psychyc heavyness.I'm interested in Marinol coz i have spasms from irritable bowel.I don't know if it would help IBS BTW. Guest guest
Connie, I've had the same thing happen, but it took six months for that reaction for me. For the past month or so, I played around with mixing up my doses, going from 3 to 4 and back again...then trying 4.5. Friday I got my first refill of 4.5, and the negative stuff seems to have abated. Give it a try. None of us are experts, and nobody can give any of us definite answers. Guest guest
Thanks, Pam. I think I'll call my neuro and talk this over with him this week. I'm thinking that I could ask that the script say 1.5 mg and I can take 2 or 3. Guest guest
I was able to get two scrips; one for 1.5 and one for 3.0. I figure I've got the dosages pretty well covered that way. I assumed I would take 3.0 or 4.5, never planned on just 1.5, so since I'm taking 3.0 I have extra in case my new doc won't write a scrip when this one is up... ----- Original Message ----- From: Connie Delvaux low dose naltrexone Sent: Sunday, September 12, 2004 3:33 PM Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Re: LDN dosage 7 cannibis long term benefits for MS Thanks, Pam. Guest guest
I get 4.5 filled in 1.5's, so 180 per 2 months worth. If I only take 3.0, then each script lasts 3 months. I save on shipping costs that way, too. ----- Original Message ----- From: low dose naltrexone Sent: Sunday, September 12, 2004 18:37 Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Re: LDN dosage 7 cannibis long term benefits for MS I was able to get two scrips; one for 1.5 and one for 3.0.
