Various types of medical writing:

Letter to editor / correspondence

Case report / short communication

Original / scientific article

Review article

Editorial

The order recommends how budding writer should graduate from " letter to editor "

to " editorial " . Most journals invite Editorials from authors. Mostly all have a

structure which the journal reccomends the writers to follow.

Why a structure for writing?

For the uniformity

To provide logical heads

To help comprehension

To avoid confusion

To reduce the verbosity

To clarify specifics
