Guest guest
Hello Peers: My wife has been on LDN for about six months. She had just started LDN when she had an appointment with a new neuro. She did the " walking speed test " and her time was 7 seconds and something (almost 8). We told the new neuro that she is using LDN. She said that she had heard of it but would not prescribe it. We also told her that she uses marijuana. I could see the computer screen and the neuro wrote that my wife uses marijuana to treat MS and LDN to keep from getting addicted to marijuana. She had another appointment with her new neuro this past Thursday. The first thing out of the neuro's mouth was that she had been to a conference and asked the MS Society about LDN. They told her that it " makes people feel better, improves some symptoms incuding fatigue, but does nothing to stop progression " . She then looked at my wifes " walking speed test " . My wife's time was 5.5 seconds. Her new neuro was amazed. She said that " normal " people walk the 25 foot in 6 seconds. She made the comment that if my wife continues to improve, she will have to put her other patients on LDN. I said that many neuros are prescribing it. She said that she would not until the MS Society endorsed it. Back to LDN. My wife has better bladder control, less fatigue, a clear head (cognitive), and oh yeah, faster walking. The neuro thinks the better bladder control is from a " patch " that she put my wife on last visit. But my wife hasn't used the patch. We didn't tell the neuro... she thinks she's helping. KEEP ON KEEPIN' ON LDN CREW!! Bones _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger! Guest guest
Thanks for the progress report on your wife. It is always encouraging to hear of us doing as good, or better than we were pre LDN. Your words " I could see the computer screen and the neuro wrote that my wife uses marijuana to treat MS and LDN to keep from getting addicted to marijuana. " made me laugh very hard - amazing the incorrect information doctors put into files. I once had one write I was a " non=smoker, non-drinker " (both ture as I never smoke and only drink every once in a while - maybe 2-3 times a year) than put " must smoke when drinking! " Too Funny!!! Continued best of Luck to your wife, hope you can keep up with her!!! Cinders
