Hi Alister,

I'm also anti ABC's as you probably know. Your neuro that said: "I was told by a neuro that regardless of meds(1/3 reduction) the MS is still going its thing(destruction"..........is guessing. Stick with what you are doing. There is a lot that we can do to prevent this destruction. I think you all know that I personally hate and avoid most drugs. There certainly is a place for drugs when required, however most doc's pass them out for every little thing just to get you out of their hair. They mean well but they just do not know, if you really want good info ask an ms'er.

1. No dairy

2. exercise...everyday

3. Stretch... " several times

4. No Gluten...more than likely.

5. Vitamins, minerals, herbs, etc.

6. No partially hydrogenated

vegetable oil.

7. Avoid articificial foods,

colorings, flavors, chemicals,

etc.

8. Get "" blood test then

avoid identified allergens.

9. Definitely take "Lutein" and

"Bilberry" for your eyes.

10. Learn, learn, learn !!

11. Do look into " Low Dose Naltrexone",

Go to www.copingandprevailing.com I will send it to anyone that has ms and cannot afford to pay for it.

Regards,

Tom

Thank you for your response, we have one major thing in common, we both have passed on MS meds, will never all the folks on the interferones, copaxones, Avonix etc. seem to be just doing as well as I am not on them, I won't give in, of what I've been told those meds only fix the problem 1/3 and reduce the severity of the attack, everytime I have tried sleeping pills or anti-depressants it has soon(within days) lead to an attack, so meds and me don't go, I was told by a nuero that regardless of meds(1/3 reduction) the MS is still going its thing(destruction) so I figured ride it out, and pray for a med that will help. I realized that interferones would not help. ("Hey my MS hasn't been acting up, but I may have Liver problem) this senerio doesn't seem right to me, the liver can stand a ton- after all it's the bodies garbage disposal, I wouldn't want to bother its effectiveness. I AM NOT saying this will happen but this senerio was told to me by another MSER-" hey my MS is at bay, but my liver is not". This scares the crap out of me, I can live with the MS but life without a liver.HMMMMMMM, Well I'm off to the nuero, I am against the ABC+N's but solumederal and other steroids seem OK, besides it's only 5-10days not every other day injections or once a week for a long time, respect the liver you only got one, I am not saying everyone is going to have liver problems, but the fear of being told that my Liver enzymes are up scares me. Well anyways I am off to the nuero.....byeView other groups in this category.
