Research & Event Grant Proposals Due Wednesday, September 19, 2011

DIA serves nearly 30,000 professionals in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical,

health sciences and regulatory industries worldwide. Through international

meetings, training courses, publications and other offerings, DIA provides a

neutral global forum for the exchange of information critical to advancing the

drug discovery and life-cycle management processes.

Seeking Research and Event Grant Proposals

DIA is accepting applications for research grants and event grants through the

DIA Philanthropy Program, the means by which DIA supports charitable causes that

benefit the public and help fulfill the association's mission, vision and social

responsibility.

Charitable causes include education through the exchange of information and

ideas for the improvement of society through greater access to, and the proper

and appropriate usage of, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices,

vaccines, combination products, and related health care products.

DIA's educational efforts also encompass better understanding of the health and

economic benefits of such products through development and research. For this

year, the DIA will focus on charitable organizations that support the following:

Increase the knowledge and understanding of patient groups, government, and

industry about key issues central to the promotion of patient-centered health

care

Develop the capacity of patient groups to lead and facilitate for change

Improve alliances between patient groups and other health care stakeholders
