Its not really like giving yourself a shot, it's more like pressing a button on the handle of a screwdriver. I put a small coldpack on the site afterwards for a few minutes for months...after a year, I don't bother with that any more. Only side effects I have had a swollen saliva glands. but I'm about to switch and try LDN so...what can I say. I was stable this year, but who knows if I would have been anyway.
