Referencing is a standardized way of acknowledging and identifying the sources of information and ideas that you have used in your manuscript. It is important to be consistent when you are referencing and therefore comes in the role of a particular style of referencing The Vancouver system takes its name from a meeting in VANCOUVER, Canada in 1978 which led to the establishment of International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
