Guest guest
I have 2 kids too. My daughter (18) started dating someone last December and his mother has MS. Maybe I shouldn't have said anything to her, but I told her not to get too involved, it may not be a good idea for long term. I haven't really given it much thought, but perhaps their mother has. The thing is, there's nobody else in my bloodline that we KNOW that has MS. However, my FIL, MIL & BIL all had heart problems over the last decade (MIL & BIL in '02, FIL a while ago). My dad has open heart in '02 also , and my mom didn't make it out of her open heart surgery back in February. My mom's mom had diabetes, but later in life (following the Spanish Flu epidemic of 1914? 1916?) and there's no other diabetes in the bloodline family that I'm aware of. My daughter seems to be healthy, but my son (10 now) has had more issues than all of us combined. He was born with a double hernia, fixed at 6 months. Split his lip open at 1 1/2; stung by a bee at 2; landed in the hospital in the middle of the night in Ohio back in 98 with a croupy cough; fractured his tibia in 1999; was put under for 9 cavities when he was 7 or so; and in the last month developed a swollen neck that was treated with augmentin and he reacted to it with hives, rash and welts and then the day after that got stung by a bee again. We just found out that the swell is from a brachial cleft cyst that will be fine needle aspirated shortly. Can't spend time worrying though.. just gotta keep your eyes and ears open and hope for the best. Don't want to worry the kids, either. ----- Original Message ----- From: Louise de la Lande low dose naltrexone Sent: Friday, August 27, 2004 09:58 Subject: [low dose naltrexone] re ldn is my security blanket Hi ,I havent written for awhile but I had to write this-: I have 2 kids and my big secret worry is that they will come down with MS too. like I did and my mum did.
