Dear Members,Risk Factors for ACS:The risk factors for Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) are similar to

those for other types of heart disease. Acute coronary syndrome risk factors

include:

Ø Older age (older than 45 for men and older than 55 for

women)

Ø High blood pressure

Ø High blood cholesterol

Ø Cigarette smoking

Ø Lack of physical activity

Ø Type 2 diabetes

Ø Family history of chest pain, heart disease or stroke
