Guest guest
hoxworthg, I, too, believe that when we learn about something new (at least to us) that someone is trying to tell us something, and we need to at least try it. Who knows, and who cares who it is! Now, I guess that would mean that someone has led me astray on a few matters, but I would never have known if I hadn't tried. I am so glad that I tried LDN. I only wish that I had known sooner. It's the only thing that I have tried that showed noticeable improvement right away and continued to work to this day. But this was after four times on Prednisone and after that, even a shot looked good. In fact, I have to say that I owe a lot to Beta Seron and had a hard time giving up that security blanket to try LDN. At the risk of sounding silly, I have to say that I decided to try LDN because I heard about it in an unusual way right after I lost my father on Christmas day last year. I kind of felt that he was sending me a sign, and right or wrong, I believe in those. So far, so good, and I will continue to mention anything that I notice, and any more improvements in my friend. Guest guest
Rainey, I have been on LDN for nearly 1 year. During that time, I don't think I have had any real progression of the MS. I may have become weaker in a couple of areas just from lack of using the muscles very much. I am trying to do something about this. It's a slow process. The improvement in my bladder issues and much better sleep are well worth taking LDN. My GP wrote my script. After taking the info from the website in for him to read, he saw no reason not to try it. Yruly, I had nothing to lose. Best of luck to you! Marcie In a message dated 9/27/2004 7:40:39 AM Central Daylight Time, rainey_rapp@... writes: May I asked how long you have been on LDN? Guest guest
Yep, those are definitely the top two. RLS for me is number 3, it was getting real bad the months before I started, definitely couldn't have been driving my 93 Saturn 5 Speed otherwise. ----- Original Message ----- From: marciemjm@... low dose naltrexone Sent: Monday, September 27, 2004 08:55 Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] more from the new LDN user The improvement in my bladder issues and much better sleep are well worth taking LDN. Guest guest
Well it is almost a year now that I have been on LDN and I just had a revelation, yes the light came on and I am shocked that I never thought of this before now, I guess what got me going on this was when I heard about this (possible ) assisted suicide of a young man in Quebec yesterday. Since the police are still investigating I will not speculate any more on the why's and wherefores but it did make me think What if we had given this man the oportunity to try LDN? I hear he wasn't disabled yet and that's when I realised that just prior to my finding LDN I was starting to have trouble swallowing liquids with out chocking. My brother had already been using "Thicket" a product to thicken juices and water so that we wouldn't choke on it.I hear it is pretty gross and am glad I never had to use it. I was about to go there until on my first week of LDN l noticed I no longer had that problem and since then I havn't even had one thought about it until I heard this news flash about the man with M.S. being murdered( is that too strong of a word)I don't think so. I believe the medical community is every bit as responsible for his death as is his mother,if not more so! We will hear more about this but until then the word has to get out.....LDN is available and it does work!!!!!! As the song says Suicide is dangerous and permanent! Somehow I feel responsible, yet I know there was nothing I could have done that would have helped for him. Guest guest
I believe one of the most important effects of LDN is the improved sense of well being and related greater interest in life. If it did not a bit more for us it would still be worth taking. Perhaps this young man would be with us if he had been given an opportunity to try LDN... Guest guest
I agree wholheartedly that is why this morning when I heard that a well known nuerologist around here actually was endorsing LDN ,for his personal patients,I had hope again....... the word is getting out and time is on our side now. Guest guest
I think we should also remember that in some cases LDN is used to treat cancer, crohns etc, Therefore for that reason alone, besides the fact that it is relativly harmless, and oh yah cheap, I will probably take it for the rest of my life. After all Dr.Bahari and his wife are taking it as a cancer preventative, are they not?
