Guest guest
Dear Members,Acute coronary syndrome (ACS), including both ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and non-ST elevation ACS (NSTE-ACS), is an important manifestation of IHD. Rapid diagnosis and treatment with appropriate reperfusion therapies has been proven to increase survival for patients with STEMI. This benefit of reperfusion diminishes as the interval from time of symptom onset to initiation of therapy increases.Current ACS guidelines emphasize the importance of rapid hospital care, especially for STEMI patients who may be eligible for thrombolytic reperfusion within the first twelve hours.RegardsTarun Wadhwa
