FERCI fosters improved implementation of ethics review, facilitates opportunities for networking among EC members and acts as a coordinator between various stakeholders towards imparting appropriate Human protection in research. The Forum recognizes that collective wisdom is required to review and address ethical issues relating to India. This 1st FERCI National Conference on Research Ethics, being organized by Tata Memorial Hospital in association with KEM Hospital, Mumbai under the aegis of FERCI, aims to bring to the fore challenges faced by Ethics Committees and allow in-depth discussions amongst the participants. The format of the conference is a mix of invited lectures, open paper sessions, and panel discussions, allowing adequate interactions and discussions on its theme, " Challenges of ethics committees " . Audience - All stakeholders, EC members, Non technical members, students, and experts from academia and industry, and those who are interested in the nuances of research ethics.
