I take 6mg, and I feel like this works well for me. I'm PPMS. Extremely stiff before LDN and that has not changed. I haven't walked in 5 years. No balance. LDN has made good improvements in bladder and sleep issues. That is a good thing. I no longer have the electrical tingling when I bend my bed forward.

I don't think Naltrexone in the 50mg dose is recommended for the auto-immune conditions. In that dose it is not 'low dose'. It blocks the endorphins for way too long. Was this your question?

That should have read 'head' not 'bed'! Spell check doesn't get those dumb mistakes!

Reg,

I am on 4.5mg since 7/8/03 and very stiff. I reduced to 3.0mg for about a month and stayed stiff. So I went back to 4.5mg and left it at that. I was stiff before I started LDN.

Stretching and exercise definitely help but it is not thecomplete answer.

I recently started physical therapy, it is very difficult but also very helpful. The more I move the more the stiffness improves, you just can't move all day long, lol. Lifestyle is a part of it but ms is ms. I have not had any newproblems since starting LDN but the stiffness remains.

Regards,

Tom

More than likley this too will pass soon, I found the same thing since I did an increase just as the spring storms hit and yes the weather does affect us as we get older.

Also I know I don't stretch or exercise enuf and as the days go by I do get stiffer even at 3.0mgs which I am now at for six months,

I would like to blame all my problems on a simple scapegoat (like LDN or the filler )but I know it's just my life style, and the fact that I can't do my daily walks or even exercizes without pain issues.

I started the 4.5 dose about 3 nights ago. Today I was so stiff and sore all day. I don't know if the extra 1.5 had anything to do with this or if the weather had some effect. Have any of you noticed what I described? Connie

So am I right Tom? You agree that getting stiff with age can't necessarily be totally blamed on the pills we take ?

I keep thinking about the year before I retired and since I was still working as a mechanic I was in fairly good shape and had no stiffness at all,but then I had to quit work as no one wants to see there service man hobbling around at a snails pace, with a cane in one hand and a wrench in the other.

Hi Reg,

I agree on the pills but if you hobble around and are a good mechanic you can work on my car anytime, lol.

Thanks so much, Reg and the rest of you who replied to my post! The next night I backed off to the 3mg but had the same stiffness and soreness the next day, so I know it wasn't the increased dose. Last night I took the full increased dose and..after I settled down after watching the "debate," I must have really slept, because when I looked at the clock, I had slept almost 5 hours..that's unheard of for me! I feel really good today..which is unusual because the wind has been blowing, I would say 90 mph, not quite, but horribly and it rained for quite some time. Now, I "get" to go into town to judge homecoming floats..what a day for a homecoming parade! At least we get to judge the floats where the kids are building them, inside buildings. But I have to manage going into these places..hopefully I can get there using my walker! Another challenge for me!

I SO definitely agree that we need to exercise; I haven't been on my cardioglide for at least 2 days, and I can really tell the difference. I did get the AM Yoga tape today so I'm looking forward to trying that.

(I just realized that I babbled on for much longer than I had intended to..sorry) Connie

When I reduce my dosage it takes a few days for the stiffness to ease. When I increase it the stiffness is increased the next day...
