Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for your response.I'll let you know if/when I do the chelation. I do know about Dr. Weil. I have most of his books. I was uncertain about Splenda, because it's in a Hain Beverage, which I consider a reputable company. On the can (of soda) I bought, it says "ASPERTAME FREE".That made me think, if they realize aspertame is bad, they surely wouldn't replace it with another poison! I was suckered into an advertising scam! -------Original Message------- From: low dose naltrexone Date: Wednesday, September 29, 2004 13:10:04 low dose naltrexone Subject: RE: [low dose naltrexone] Re: my recent neuro visit Hey , Keep us informed if you do decide to do the Chelation therapy. I don't like any artificial sweeteners, 10 years down the road you're going to hear all about what they did to our systems. I'd rater see you put a small amount of honey as a sweetener then splenda. A great Doctor to get info on this kinda stuff: Dr. Weil pull up a search, he's wonderful on diet and Vitamins, he's Harvard educated and is a wealth of information. Good luck with your detox! I walk with a cane an my balance and stamina are bad.I'm 52, have 2 kids(15 & 19).I do yoga at least 2xweek.I'm kinda little, 5ft.2".I was diagnosed in 1993.I was completely mobile and healthy appearing for the first 10 years of knowing that I had ms. So much for the benign ms.described by the Mayo Clinic, where I've been to see neuro's.Nothing mystical about those boys up there in Minn. Yesterday my doc, who is an open minded, forward thinking person, decided I should get some chelation therapy. He had me test the metals in my system and I have a lot of heavy metals. I just had the small amount of mercury fillings that I have (had) taken out last week. But mercury was the lowest on my test results.Besides ldn, I've been on HGH injections, and a myriad of supplements and nothing seems to stop this slow slide toward disability that I'm on. He feels that all that I'm doing would have better results if the metals in my system were removed. He feels that they are stopping my chances of more recovery. By the way, he doesn't do the chelation, so he does not stand to benefit from this monetarily. So what do you all think? Anyone been this route? Any benefits?Any bad stories? I want to hear it all, my friends in ldn cyberspace! As an aside... I know the evils of aspartame, but what does anyone know/ say about Splenda? -------Original Message------- From: low dose naltrexone Date: Tuesday, September 28, 2004 16:32:12 low dose naltrexone Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] for Kathy br marijuana use Hi to All, There seem to be alot of us who are sensitive to medication and am assuming diet is a problem too. I am taking a number of supplements but would swear by acidophilous (for healing the gut especially when steroids have been added to the pot!) and digestive enzymes since the natural enzymes are absent from alot of our foods today. Has really helped reduce the gas an pain I was getting. Anyone else have digestive problems? It is extremely common with this disease. Im on baclofen 10mg at night and lorazepam 1mg for spasm (which isnt a high dose) but really find neither very effective. If anything, they make my legs weaker (dont need that!) Walk with 2 canes and not very far...wheelchair for outings. I am secondary progressive and believe my spasms are minimal because of somewhat adopting the Swank Diet (or atleast trying to....I fail miserably at times). I believe there truly is a connection to food sensitivity and MS. Just like there is not one cause for MS, I strongly believe there is not one cure! It has to be a daily effort (and very tiring at times) to try and eat things that are as nutritious as possible and fresh as possible. I very much avoid foods with additives (hotdogs zap me of energy) and find that avoiding dairy, wheat, pasta is helpful. It doesn't sound like there is much left but if you think "as fresh as possible" and as "raw as possible" over time I believe there is hope to atleast improve this disease. Helps with constipation too. Brown or wild rice is my fiber of choice and seems to be well tollerated. Have never heard of rice being a cure?? White rice is really a bit of an empty starch is it not? Pastries are a problem for me too and have pretty much given up coffee. Had 2 cups today cause a friend came over and now for the past hour have had a bad headache and nausea! Should have known better. Dont mean to get preachy but what I hear from others who are try to detoxify their body through diet and supplements.....there is hope for all of us! It takes time and possibly years to see improvement but strongly believe endurance will pay off. Another thing that seems to have helped my stomache and bowel issues is 4,000 iu of Vit. D. There is a good article on this in this months Readers Digest magazine. I know there are many cautions to overdoses of Vit. D. but for me it seems to be helping. Vitamin D 3 is harder to overdose on than D2. (FYI) Anyway, I do plan to try LDN again and see my Dr. this friday. She is pretty good at letting me try almost anything . Since it is a very "clean" drug I know it will be very compatible with my other routines. Didnt give LDN enough of a chance the first time. Anyway...Good Health to All of You. My biggest strength come through prayer and a firm trust in my Creater! Now I am getting preachy and do not apologize for it Kathy Huget On 27-Sep-04, at 10:09 PM, Delicia Rucker wrote: > Hi Sheila, > > When I say sporadically, I mean from the beginning D ecember2001. ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here
