Some who drink alcohol have found that it must block it for longer than that. Go figure? Since your addiction is behind you, so-to-speak, have you considered a slightly higher dose just to see what it might do? Would you be taking it for a neurological condition? With the ex-opiate condition, I wouldn't think that you would have any trouble getting a doc to write you a script. I take 6mg, and it seems to work well as far as my MS goes. My progression was to a point that I had nothing to lose. I feel as if I have less fluctuation of the annoying symptoms such as pressure in my feet and legs and pain, numbness and tingling.
