Guest guest
I find that if I'm cruising (not putting 100% into it) I also get bored, start looking around at what other people are doing etc. If I'm mentally focused, clenching my jaw etc - nothing will distract me and all I can think about is getting through the workout. > ok, I am having a really hard time doing cardio, I just can't do more than a > minute of it without getting bored! Guest guest
I feel the same way. I don't get bored during my cardio. I set up my Gazelle glider (Tony Little) in front of my tv. I write or type my schedule. For ex: 9:01 pm 5 9:02 pm 5 9:03 pm 6 9:04 pm 7 9:05 pm 8 9:06 pm 9 9:07 pm 6 and so on I watch tv and watch the cable box for when the time changes. It keeps me focused and alert. For example if I'm on 9:04 pm at 7 I look at the clock for when it changes to 9:05 pm and I coach myself " Okay, you have to do 8 now. Between watching the tv, the cable box, coaching myself and doing the physical work, I don't get bored. I come out of the workout with a good sweat, refreshed and feeling energized. I also found this link in the Links section on the group. It is a motivational cd for your cardio. It was made by a Body for Lifer. I may get it. Guest guest
Kellie: try a jump rope. And ask those " supportive " people to hide the cookies and the chocolate from you.
