Guest guest
Daphne - First off, let me say best of luck to you with the LDN. You did not say what you are taking it for - and that makes some difference. I have MS - so am talking from that point of view!!! Second - I think you have all the basics pretty correct - except that you can take the LDN as early as 9:00 p.m. - that is when I take mine. I too have questions about taking time off for dental work / surgery - my doubt is that if you are not going to get any opiumn drugs - why stop? Maybe someone else will give you (and me) a better explination as to why someone would want to stop if they are not going to receive opiumn drugs. Third - if after goin up to 4.5, all is good - there is really no need to try the 6.0. (4.5 is the dose Dr. " B " recommends as best for most people.) There is just a tiny number of people on the higher 6.0 dose . . . I would recommend not to go there unless there is a on-going problem you think it might help to solve. I tried 6.0 because I had on-going bladder spasms - but it did not help and made me feel icky - I'm back to 4.5 and pretty darn happy. Also - as far as the timming on when to increase dose - I did about 20 days on 3.0 before going to 4.5. (on the 3.0 I was continuing to get afternoon tinglinging in my face - on 4.5 it stopped!) Otherwise, I saw no difference in the two doses. I would say that as soon as you are comfortable with the 3.0 make the switch to 4.5. I think the most important stuff to remember is - 1: give the LDN a long (at least 6 months) chance before you decide about it. 2: remember LDN is to stop progression - any symptom relief you get is icing on the cake - a lot of us get significant symptom improvement, but some don't. To some extent it seem to relate to what drug treatments you have had in the past. However - just not getting any worse is a HUGE benefit. and 3: don't get upset if you suddenly seem to be getting short " revisits " of old symptoms for awhile - it is really a good thing - as your body will be trying to " fix " old damage. Best of luck - and be sure to let us all know how you are doing. Cinders, RRMS - 150+ days on LDN with no relasp!
Guest guest
One thing to remember you do not have to go to sleep after taking LDN ie if you have a night job you can still take it and continue on with your job, as long as it is taken at night and before two or so in the morning. I want to make sure I have all the info-I've been to the website and read up. Could someone please verify that I have all this right? 1. Take between 10 pm and 2 am--just as going to sleep 2. You have to go off for 3 days before dental work, surgery? but why is this? 3. start at 3.0 mg per day and see how that goes. After (how long?) try 4.5 and see what happens. After (how long on 4;5?) try 6.0 and see what happens. 4. watch out for side effects that last--it could be the wrong filler in the capsules Is that correct and is that all? thanks! I also have had some dental work and did not stop LDN. Novacaine worked just fine! I have been using Skip's and have adjusted well after a few months. I started on 1.5 for about 3 wks and then 3.0 for 3 weeks and then 4.5. I did try 6.0 one night but felt yucky the next day so I stuck with 4.5. Good luck. Guest guest
It will not creat the blockade that ultimately results in an increased production of beta endorphins. Basically, it will do nothing for you. Guest guest
I've noticed it works as a subtile mood brightener, taken in the morning.
