Guest guest
Dar, We've all got the same source...the two doctors who have studied it more than anyone. Dr Bihari and Dr Lawrence. This is what they say. I'll take their word for it! Anyone can do whatever they want, but as for me, I'm going to follow these men's advice. 1) I don't want to waste my medicine or money and 2) I want to feel rather sure that my improvement is real and not a placebo effect. (Nothing against placebo effects - better than nothing) Read the info on the low dose naltrexone website to find out the theory behind this, as most of us here have. That's all we have to go by! Guest guest
Hi , You wrote " It will not creat the blockade that ultimately results in an increased production of beta endorphins. Basically, it will do nothing for you. " Is this something you know to be a fact? Are you sure that what you wrote is absolutely true? How do you know it? I know of people who are taking LDN during the day and claim they are doing very well. Since what I've heard is only anecdotal, I'm curious about your sources. Thanks. --Dar > It will not creat the blockade that ultimately results in an increased production of beta endorphins. Guest guest
Please read the information on the LDN website regarding the desired action, and therefore the reason for taking LDN at night. The timing of the dose in the evening is intended to create a temporary blockade so that when your primary beta endorphin production occurs in the early morning hours your body produces extra to overcome the temporary reduction caused by the LDN. Your production is supposedly tied to some magnetic field, and we are told this occurs at the same time every morning... Taking LDN during the day would theoretically block whatever level of beta endorphins you produce during the daytime period it takes for your body to clear out that dose of LDN. This isn't likely to do anything to help you. Supposedly those of us with MS have lower levels of beta endorphins (as well as uric acid, but that's another story), so I don't see why anyone would want to do something to reduce the production gained by the night time dose of LDN. On the other hand, everyone is different, so take it however you feel is appropriate for you? But if we expect the result Dr Bihari has seen it would sure be in our best interests to follow his advice...
