Guest guest Posted September 15, 2004 Report Share Posted September 15, 2004 Dear Tom, Tom Please don't take me the wrong way, I know you want to help others and I think it's great you do but my point is the mails you post are from other sites where there are copyright laws and if you want someone to read an article there you should just post the URL of the site, i.e the web site address, and then all they have to do is click the address and get to the site to read the article. Most people in groups especially ones much prefer that people do this than post the entire article anyway because it really lenghtens the daily digests and increases the sizes of the mails alot. I also like helping other MSer's and have done so throughout the years with my website and also passing on articles like you do but I always pass on the links as members prefer this. I don't get online much lately though as I've a busy life and I know many others have busy lives too and we are set up to receive daily digests on these instead of individual mails and it's terribly hard reading through them when there's huge artilces that could be replaced with a single link. Also when you copy a whole page from a site and post it elsewhere you may also be copying and pasting graphics from that site which you obviously don't know but this costs the owner of the site huge money as it's stealing their bandwidth. Do a search on bandwidth if you don't understand this. Tom I love your input to the LDN group and other groups but please understand what I'm saying as I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.
