Guest guest
Hi Lara and all those that have posted a question about the moderator of this site. I am not totally sure of this but I am assuming that this site is run by the son of a friend of Dr. Bihari. I am also assuming that person is not actually moderating this site like other sites are moderated. I think it was very kind of him to take on the responsibility of organizing it but he's probably someone that has a full time job and is not at all devoted to internet things. As I said, I could be wrong but this is my take on the whole situation. I don't think it does any good to post messages to him about these types of things cuz I seriously doubt that he reads the messages. Not sure that they expected this group to grow to the size that it has grown. If anyone has any other info about the situation, please post it here but I think that is it. JoyceF From: " Lara S. " <Lara1967@...> Subject: spammers and banning Hi gang, I've noticed a lot of spamming activity on the forums again lately. I moderate another health group and we have been hit several times in the last few weeks. These buttheads sign on, join, drop their load of crap, sales pitch, or annoying religious chatter...and then unsubscribe in the blink of an eye. I don't see a posted list of members that would help us identify the owner and/or moderator of this message board. But my advice for now would be to restrict all new members to a moderated status until they have posted several messages. It would require the site moderator to do a bit of extra work, checking the validity of the members before allowing their messages to post, but it would save the rest of us from having to read the crap that slips by. And make the digests alot less cumbersome! This strategy has worked very well over on a thyroid forum I moderate. Can anyone identify the site owner here? Or a moderator?
