Guest guest
Naltrexone is now being used to treat alcoholism but at much higher doses. . This has happened to me also and I thought the establishment forgot to put the vodka in my Bloody ! That was not the case . I thought that the LDN would be out of my system by the next evening, but apparently it must linger longer than we thought it did. This raises some interesting thoughts on the subject. Maybe we do need a one or 2 day break from it? I know Dr. B is against this(because I asked him) but there is some question in my mind now? Any thoughts? Guest guest
some people when on LDN cannot drink even a drop of alcohol and there are others who can drink more, including me. I think that is our personal reaction to the drug. That doesn't mean that your LDN dosages are too high for you. This was discussed here few months ago, and I am sure you'll get more answers. ***Zora*** San Trinidad, West Indies ****** *** * dear group members, i had mailed about 3 weeks ago on something i hadbeen going through bcos os LDN. i started on 3.0 mg of ladn did it for two weeks. i started feeling very negative in general and dull.i never really attributed it to LDN in any way, untill one day i had a drink - thats when i realizedthat i fealt nothing (i had not yet had my LDN thatday the last dose was the previous evening) - i meanno buzz what so ever - i would usually start feelingthe buzz with one bear. LDN should do exactly the opposite of that. i mean according to the science the body will pumpmore endorphins in response to the temporary blockade.so i came clean for a week and had a drink thesubsequent friday night and sure enough i fealt highpreety soon. so i believed i needed a smaller dose - after allevery body is different. i split the capsule in twoand started taking 1.5 mg LDN and been doing that fortwo weeks and yes again the previous friday night ifealt no buzz - thats what leads me to conclude that LDN is blocking the boooze . should i probably try an even smaller dose. please any body advise on this topic. thank you.A T
Guest guest
I don't think it's the "LDN" per se, it's that it's putting your body in a better defensive position to fight the toxins of alcohol. So let's see, LDN is helping our body be in a state of fighting, but we want to stab it with a knife in our knee caps because it's working so well? I'd rather be on LDN, than drunk. Alcohol isn't doing anyone any good, healthy or not. If you're looking out for your health, stay away from alcohol. If you're on LDN, your concern should be health, not why you can't get all fked up any more like you used to. Aren't we with MS fkd up enough already? ----- Original Message ----- From: noclue915@... low dose naltrexone Sent: Wednesday, October 06, 2004 16:58 Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] the strangest thing very consistent please help Naltrexone is now being used to treat alcoholism but at much higher doses. . Guest guest
Amen to that. I don't have much balance now... if I drank like I did when I was young and stupid I'd no doubt fall over my own feet and break my head. ----- Original Message ----- From: LarryGC low dose naltrexone Sent: Wednesday, October 06, 2004 3:14 PM Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] the strangest thing very consistent please help I don't think it's the "LDN" per se, it's that it's putting your body in a better defensive position to fight the toxins of alcohol.
