Guest guest
Hello Everybody, Finally we have reached the end of this discussion. Final comments before I close down. While QOL is still relatively new as an endpoint in clinical trials, experience with it is growing. Time and familiarity with the basic methods will eventually make QOL as routine as other clinical endpoints. But one should not expect QOL to be any simpler or any more complex than any other clinical endpoint. Measuring seemingly straightforward endpoints, such as response to treatment can even be complex. QOL impacts patients’ well being and survival, yet many issues exist in QOL measurement. Correctly measuring and interpreting QOL is not easy. Each step in using QOL measures in clinical practice including selecting appropriate measures, analyzing data, providing feedback, interpreting results and incorporating these measures into clinical decision making is a challenge which needs to be dealt with appropriately. I thank Dr Syed Ziaur Rahman, O.P.Singh, Dr. Arin, madam Gharpure for their valuable contributions. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Thawani Sir for providing me this opportunity. Thank You All! Kind Regards, Dr. Smita Sontakke Associate Professor in Pharmacology Govt. Medical College Nagpur
