Invitation to the delegates

We have immense pleasure to announce the organization of Pharmacovigilance

workshop at JIPMER, Puducherry on 29-30 March, 2011.

The organising committee extends its personal greetings and cordially invites

you to the workshop.

OBJECTIVE OF THE WORKSHOP:

To train the participants to establish and maintain the pharmacovigilance centre

in their institute.

WHO CAN ATTEND?

This workshop would best apply to pharmacologists, both in academia and

industry. Preference will be given for faculty and residents who wish to set up

a pharmacovigilance centre in their respective institutes

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND?

The MCI is in the process of making pharmacovigilance centres a mandatory

requirement for all medical colleges in India. Attending this workshop will help

the participants to have a basic idea regarding the starting of a

pharmacovigilance centre. This will also help the participants to gain knowledge

about the functioning of the centre with regard to collection and analysis of

the ADR reporting forms.

Scientific programme

Venue: Conference Hall, Super Specialty Block, JIPMER

Registration fee: Rs. 4000/- (Includes handouts, breakfast, lunch, snacks and

tea.)

Day 1: Time 9.00 AM - 4.30 PM

Day 2 time 9.00 AM - 1.00 PM

Participants will be registered on a first come first serve basis.

Accommodation: Limited number of shared guest house accommodation will be

provided within the campus on a first come first serve basis. Others will have

to make their own arrangements. The list of nearby hotels in Pondicherry along

with their contact details are provided in the JIPMER web site.

No TA/DA will be provided
