Guest guest
Hello everybody I welcome you all for the discussion on the topic "how rational are COX-2 inhibitors?". Definition -2 inhibitors are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) which selectively inhibit cyclooxygenase-2. The traditional NSAIDs inhibit both cyclooxygenase 1 and 2 (-1 and -2). However, while -2 is associated with inflammation and pain, -1 maintains the integrity of the gastric mucosa, mediates normal platelet function, and regulates renal blood flow.Dr. K.
