What is the legal status of self medication in different countries in the world ? How many countries in the world have their OTC list ? Is there any state legally permitting OTC drug use and promote self medication ?

There is no OTC list in India. As per D & C act India dont have such category we can get this list only by exclusion of drugs of varuous schedules.

dear friends, If we do not have an OTC list in India why can we not propose one to the Health Ministry ?Many prescibing drugs become OTC as there is no strict vigilance i.e.PHARMA_VIGILANCE.
