Guest guest
Yes Kim now that the tears are drying and I can see again to type, I admit that your letters always make me cry(must be a M.S. thing huh)? It also reinforces my belief that we have to let the newly diagnosed be advised that there is an alternative out there to the painful and ineffective CRAB drugs.Except for possible Copax......... I believe your sons turnaround in his condition is probably in large part due to his getting on LDN at an early age( he is still growing after all) and as you say he sure wasn't getting better on the needle. He will possibly never have to know how a wheelchair feels at his wedding Also except for a few cases I think there is a point that we reach, like a peak kind of where we can easily come back from but once we are over that point, like in a bed in a home or in a wheelchair for a few years, there is no coming back to real pre M.S. days.( I think of my brother here). I think of many whom I have told about LDN and their different states, and how they have responded. It seems that if they won't throw out the rebif etc.they stop the LDN.as they find no help at all from it. Also if they have been in a wheel chair for a year or so they still have to use it, like me I have to use one for shopping as I was over that peak.Of course there was that car accident......... This is where it is so easy to get mad at the system as there was no reason for me to end up here if I would have had the opportunity to try this stuff sooner. I know and a few others have had a miraculous recouvery and I constantly use there storys to underline to others the need to try this mostly harmless drug,.before it is too late Being a volunteer mentor with the M.S. society here in Canada has already turned out to be very rewarding, I would recommend to any with a little free time on their hands to do this in your chapter. It at least lets us get our foot in the door so we can be positioned to help others.
