Guest guest
You are not on a high dose of iodine. You may want to try a higher dose to see if it helps. What happens sometimes on lower doses is that the iodine does enough to get the body started but not enough to complete the cycle. Iodine supplied in larger amounts will create something called Iodolipids that are used to stop the oxidative burning process which causes the increase in antibodies. So sometimes being on too low a dose will increase antibodies. For some they cannot tolerate it. You just have to try and see if it helps. Your thyroid saliva numbers look low. You may need that hormone. The fever may be a reaction to the toxins dumping. We had a weird thing happen with my son when he was 7 and just on Iodoral. He would vomit every Monday morning at 6:30 am. We wondered if it was related to school or something but when we hit summer it continued. I stopped the iodoral and it stopped. I added it back and took a break from the iodine on a different day and he started vomiting on a new day so I new it was detox. We added selenium and more Vit C to his protocol and he stopped. Guest guest
Thyroid antibodies was what I was referring to. You can look at the excerpt from Dr Brownstein's book on AIT and Iodine here iodine/message/28155 Iodine should help your sex hormones as it goes to the adrenals and ovaries. I still take BHrt to keep them in the right balance as my body doesn't do a good job on its own. My husband has hashi's and takes 50 mgs w/o an issue. There are many who have hashi's here that have reduced their antibodies with iodine and take high doses. Guest guest
He started on 36.5 mgs and then jumped to 50 mgs. Guest guest
At this point we are not doing thyroid hormone with him.
