Guest guest
Old timers will note my suggestion (made a long time ago), to take LDN intermittently, i.e. every 1-2 weeks take a couple of days off LDN. <Current advice therefore is to take the treatment for ten days, after which it may be appropriate to take a break of two days.> A
Guest guest
Having read Dr Lawrce's recomendations regarding LDN use as per - http://www2.kemc.co.uk/clients/msrc04/downloads/Bella_LDN_GP_PACK.doc I was struck by his coments regarding the deterioration of LDN in solution as per - "Liquid preparations of naltrexone have been used but it has been found that simple aqueous solutions are rapidly inactivated and do not retain any therapeutic benefit beyond 24 hours. A suspension in sugar syrup, with appropriate preservatives and antioxidants, will retain its effectiveness for up to 60 days if kept refrigerated at, or below, 4 degrees Centigrade." I am interested in trying the liquid form, as I am sure that it would be a less expensive way to go (no compounding costs and the compounder I use uses Revia tablets as a naltrexone source). From what I have read here regarding homemade LDN in liquid form I intend to 1. get a script for 50mg Revia tablets 2. in a 25ml bottle (using 25ml quantity to insure freshness) fill with - 50% distilled water and 50% alcohol (as a preservetive/antioxidant) add half 50mg Revia tablet, allow to disolve 3. Using a clean syringe, I will draw off 4.5ml (after shaking bottle) and injest. 4. store in refridgerator, can anyone see fault with my thoughts? My greatest concern is Dr Lawrence's comment regarding "aqueous solutions are rapidly inactivated and do not retain any therapeutic benefit beyond 24 hours", hence my alcohol content, or could anyone throw light on what is meant by "suspension in sugar syrup", does he mean like some Coca Cola? (Please DO NOT take that suggestion seriously) Any comments or observations would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you, XGRAF

" I think if you use ReVia pills to mix in water the presevative is already in the pill form. It's when you use naltrexon in its powder form that you would need to add a presevative. Guest guest
--- I wish someone could ask Dr. B. What his opinion is about this. It worries me. I ordered the Revia tablets from Medsmex because I don't feel like I can afford to call Dr. to get another prescription for LDN. In low dose naltrexone , " Tomasta " <tomasta.jeppesen@p...> wrote: > Having read Dr Lawrce's recomendations regarding LDN use as per - > > http://www2.kemc.co.uk/clients/msrc04/downloads/Bella_LDN_GP_PACK.doc > > I was struck by his coments regarding the deterioration of LDN in solution as per - > > " Liquid preparations of naltrexone have been used but it has been found that simple aqueous solutions are rapidly inactivated and do not retain any therapeutic benefit beyond 24 hours.
