Guest guest
First let me correct myself. I said that Dr Schultz's SuperFoods has kelp. That is not true. It does have Spirulina, Blue-Green Algae and Purple Dulse Seaweed. Don't know how contaminated those might be, but I haven't found anything in the food chain yet to be free of all evils. Sad the conditions we must live under these days. Hopefully the quality in the Superfoods is good. If the price is any indication it should be pure as possible. I think I have found the reason I was having a horrible sick feeling in my thyroid nodule. My body is low on Selenium. Selenium is used by the body to rid it of Cadmium. Guess what is loaded with Cadmium (food wise, I don't smoke) rice and especially greens. Our crop of greens has come in and we have really been eating them a lot lately. These are normally super good for you, but when your body is already deficient in Selenium you don't need the presence of Cadmium further depleting the Selenium. Low Selenium/Cadmium toxicity causes immediate hypert state! Anyway, I wanted to correct my mistake and place a tidbit of info that may help someone else. And to again, thank Gloria for her response. May you all have long, healthy lives! Susie ~

Sad the conditions we must live under these days. No kidding! You are so right, Susie. Personally, I don't knock myself out in an attempt to obtain the purest food possible. I grow what I can, and what I can't I buy what I can afford; make the sign of the cross over it (universal symbol - I'm not preaching Christianity) & thank God Almighty that I have food for today; eat fermented foods (some home-made); and try to avoid excessive consumption of foods that tax the liver and kidneys. That is all one can do. If there is more that is easily doable, I welcome input from everyone here.
