Iodoral and CT scan

I have to have a CT scan of my chest (unrelated to thyroid), and I

currently take 50 mg Iodoral a day. Does anyone know if taking the

Iodoral will affect my CT scan (do I have to stop the Iodoral and/or

Armour prior to the test)?

And does anyone happen to know what I can do afterwards to combat the

effects of that huge dose of radiation from the CT?

Thanks,

My husband needed a CT scan of his chest last year, and he was taking 12.5

mg Iodoral daily. I called the radiology department and asked about the

iodine consumption and they said he didn't need to discontinue it.

To combat the radiation, you might consider taking Bentonite liquid. The Russians used it to treat the victims of Chernoybyl and to cap the reactor. I have used it several times and it seems easy and cheap. Pam
