Guest guest
It is usually due to inflammation from the release of more toxins. I have this too. I am now on 125 mgs and it happened each time I went from 50 to 75 to 100 to 125. Take more Vit C, Celtic Salt, Magnesium, and now I added NAC and MSM which helps. Guest guest
Barbf, Oy Vay, I' am not alone. Could it be a water retention issue then? I actually cut my dose down from 8 drops to 6 drops this time around and blow up like a blow fish. The reason I'm wondering about the water is because this weekend I went shopping for some blue jeans. I grabbed my usual size 12 and found out very quickly that I needed a size 14. I was so disgusted with myself I decided not to buy anything. Then yesterday I went shopping and grabbed several size 14's and I could not fit in them, I tried several 16's and they fit loosely. In 2 days, I went up a full pant size. That's crazy. So, I cried in the fitting room (had a huge pity me party), got disgusted again and left without anything. My detoxify was pretty severe at 8 drops. I was doing a Salt Flush every other morning and I landed up getting my electrolytes off balance because of the diarrhea problem that comes with Salt Flushes. I thought with all the diarrhea, I certainly lost weight. I became dizzy and faint when I would tried to workout or even walk. It was strange because the dizziness would hit me during the day at work or in the morning workout and it would last a couple of hours. How do you know when your metabolism returns? It's been so long since I had a metabolism. Terry > > In a message dated 12/23/2008 12:20:27 P.M. Guest guest
Steph, OK the toxin over load makes since. And boy I must have the mother load here. My skin fells tight and I fell slugish and slow. I'm putting Celtic Salt in my bottled water during the day. And doing Salt Flushes every other day. Is that what you referring too with Celtic Salt? I'll add more Vit C and Magnesium, will that help with the bloating? What is NAC and MSM? So more Vit C and Mag will help with bloating problem? I just started taking CLA to help with this bloated stomach problem I have with Iodine. I'm so sorry about all the questions, I'v become desperate. I had high hopes that Iodine was going be my silver bullet to a normal body weight. Thank you for your help, Terry

Guest guest
Are you using Iodoral? Can you recommend where I can buy some. I'm open to experimenting with other iodine's. I know I have allot of toxins to clear out of my body. A lifetime of drinking diet cokes. But this swelling up is driving me nuts. I have heard and read some good things on SSKI and Iodoral. I'm thinking of trying Iodoral. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Terry > > > > Steph, > > > > OK the toxin over load makes since. And boy I must have the mother > > load here. Guest guest
I have had your same issues for a very long time and could never figure it out. Than, one day I asked my Dr to run a reverse T3 test on me and BINGO, there it was. I had the highest RT3 he had ever seen. This means that my thyroid is not using my T3 in my system correctly, it is all getting wasted. Might be something to check. I had been on high dose Armour and Iodoral and just kept putting on weight. Now, I am ridding the RT3 out of my system gradually with T3. Just an idea.... Guest guest
What Is NAC (N-Acetyl-Cysteine)? NAC is produced in living organisms from the amino acid cysteine. Thus, NAC is a natural sulfur-containing amino acid derivative found naturally in foods and is a powerful antioxidant. These dual properties help repair oxidative damage in the body. Being a powerful anti-oxidant and cell detoxification co-factor, NAC works to eliminate your body of free radicals and heavy metals. This improves your cellular health tremendously Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM, or dimethylsulfone) is an organosulfur compound with the formula (CH3)2SO2. This colourless solid features the sulfone functional group and is considered relatively inert chemically. It occurs naturally in some primitive plants and is present in small amounts in many foods and beverages and it is marketed as a dietary supplement, although its benefits are disputed. Guest guest
Oh thank you Kim, I just got back from the doctors office this morning. She took blood to run all my thyroid, hormones, and cholesterol test. I will as her to run a reverse T3 test. Once you found out you had a high RT3, what did you do to correct this issue? Guest guest
-Mrs. Barley, Thank you for posting about Iosol. How long have you been taking it? I am going to read about it and consider switching to it. Are you noticing improvement in your health? From your post it sounds as if you haven't used any of the forms containing potassium iodide. Have you found any good articles about potassium iodide not being a good form? I have been taking iosol drops for about a month or so. My problem, since menopause a few years ago, was chronic constipation. It happened somewhat suddenly, I had no history of it at all. So I thought it would be hormone-related. Advice to increase fiber etc etc did nothing at all. Liver-cleansing herbs are not suitable either when your glands are weakened. Also, this year, for the first time in decades, I am starting to feel the cold a bit. I am my own doctor, out of necessity. In no time flat the problem disappeared, then returned for a bit. I think that toxicity is being slowly dealt with, it is now an up & down matter. After trying various dosages, 4 drops seems to be slowly dealing with my 'issue'. More than that, I feel awful. I first read about the downside of potassium iodide in an article by an acupuncture doctor. He didn't say it was wrong for everybody, not by a long shot, but some people found it made their health worse, just like kelp does - yet we are always being told how wonderful kelp is. I suspect, just my hunch, that the aging body wants a different form of iodine, but don't quote me, I am no expert. But do you think I can remember exactly where I found this article? Not on your life! It was some time ago. So I looked around and found Iosol at iherb.com. I will stick with this for a few months and see how it goes. My opinion is that iodine can be the trickiest of supplements to take, so we must be patient. Betsy, I wish you the best of health and the very best of luck in finding the kind of Iodine correct for you. And while I'm here, I wish you a very happy Christmas and the best New Year ever. Regards. > > >
Guest guest
Thank you, Mrs. Barley, and the same to you. When things slow down here, I will do a search on potassium iodide. Then I will most likely try the Iosol since that may be the only way to tell if it makes a difference. Betsy > Hi, Betsy. I have been taking iosol drops for about a month or so. Guest guest
why not try 50mg iodine/iodide, which would be 8 drops? Guest guest
Hi Terry, The itching is a histamine release from the iodine attacking the toxins. Your body is having trouble excreting the toxins, which is an indication your other detox pathways are blocked. The liver, kidneys and digestive system. Before I would give up on iodine I would look at doing some cleansing to open up the pathways so the body get get rid of these toxins in the manner ion which they were meant to leave and not try to leave through your skin which is causing the itching. You are likely noticing some acne and other skin blemishes, as well? Good indication that the iodine is doing what it is supposed to do. A little antihistamine may work temporarily to relieve the itch. Guest guest
If it is a histamine reaction, quercitin might help. There are lots of toxins in our skin because of all the chemicals in our world today. When we have heavy metals and chemicals in our skin, nanobacteria and microbes make themselves at home there and are tough to get rid of. You can even kill the bacteria, but if the metals and chemicals are still there, they'll come right back. Also, bacteria travel along the nerves, so I think the reason the itching is so intense is because they are actually in the nerves on the skin. It's good to detox the liver, kidneys and lungs, but don't forget that the skin is the largest organ of detoxification. It's good to find ways to help your skin detox, too. The best way I have found can be found at www.dnrsite.com. Especially the COF body soak. Betsy > > Hi Terry, > > The itching is a histamine release from the iodine attacking the > toxins.
