Kay,

I just joined this group and do not take any iodine yet. I do take Metformin for IR and notice that you also take it. When I first started it, it caused a metallic taste in my mouth. That is one of the stated side effects of the medication. I also took it in 2 pregnancies through the first trimester and the metallic taste was stronger then as well. So it may not be due to the iodine.

Question regarding Iodoral

Hello,

I have been taking Iodoral 12.5 mg once a day for the past 7 weeks and now I am starting to have this metal taste in my mouth. Should I cut back? or discontinue for a few days?
