Guest guest
Virginia... I was the one who posted about Relentless Improvement's version of Iodoral. It is supposed to contain iodine and potassium iodide. I suspect that it only contains potassium iodide. Their version is WHITE. Iodoral is iodine color -- orange/yellow. Their version DOES NOT have a distinctive iodine taste. It just tastes salty. I am not convinced that there is any iodine in it at all. Also, they do not have a return policy. In other words, I do not feel that this company is REPUTABLE. Any other supplement company would refund your money back if you were not happy with their product. A reputable company STANDS BY THEIR PRODUCTS. Relentless Improvement obviously does not. Because of this, I very much doubt that their QA report is even valid. Guest guest
>> http://relentlessimprovement.com/included/docs/iodine_iodide.pdf This tablet has 7.68mg of potassium iodide, whereas Iodoral has 10.<< Iodoral® labels and online references state that it contains 7.5 mg of potassium iodide and 5 mg of elemental iodine per tablet, for a total of 12.5 mg. If the Relentless Improvement Quality Analysis is correct, their product has nearly identical amounts of potassium iodide and elemental iodine as Iodoral has. (The 50 mg tablets of Iodoral contain 30 mg of potassium iodide and 20 mg of elemental iodine.) Where are you finding information that Iodoral tablets contain 10 mg of potassium iodide? Regarding a different post, I don't think the color of the tablets has any bearing on what forms of iodine the tablets contain. The color could be from different kinds of pharmaceutical glazes. A glaze should be surface only. When scored, the color is white throughout. Also, the tablet has absolutely no distinctive iodine taste. Iodoral does, I know because I chewed one for confirmation. Buy the tablets from Relentless Improvement if you want. I simply don't think the product contains what the company says it contains.
