Guest guest
Cassie I had PCOS and after 9 mos of supplementing with 50 mgs I had no more pain and no more cysts. Also iodine will help you to control blood sugar issues. It gets into the pancreas and normalizes that as well. There are diabetics that have come off insulin with iodine therapy. I know that Metformin is safe with Iodine. Don't know about the other two but since it is an element and not a drug my guess is it is fine. Steph Iodine with other Rxs?? I just joined the group and I'm fascinated by all the info on iodine in the files. I have PCOS and ran across the iodine group in the PCOS group I'm in.I take some other medications and was wondering if anyone takes them and if you know of any interactions. I take Metformin for PCOS, Labetalol for hypertension/fast heart beat, and Warfarin(generic Coumadin) for a blood clotting disorder. I am especially concerned about the warfarin as everything seems to interact with it. Also, anyone here with PCOS who has taken iodine and benefitted from it I would be interested in hearing from you. Thanks,Cassie
Guest guest
Steph: Given my extremely high blood sugars at the moment and the specter of insulin looming large in my future if I can’t get it under control, this gives me hope..... Guest guest
Dr Flechas talks about a patient with glucose over 300 that took 50 mgs of Iodoral and got off all insulin. What I have noticed is an increase in my energy level since starting the iodorol about 6 months ago. As far as the PCOS, my insulin levels finally decreased. My lst insulin level was an 8. I could not get it any lower than a 15 before. I am on Metformin ER and Armour. I take the iodorol in the am with my thyroid medication. 2008 walking miles Goal 600 miles for 2008 November miles - 31 miles Year - 650 miles healthylivingwithhypothyroidism/
Guest guest
Well, PCOS is a real can of worms. I had it, and I think that the symptoms of PCOS are actually symptoms of hypothyroidism. If you go to www.stopthethyroidmadness.com and look under " stories of others " my story is there. I take Iodoral now, have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and have had symptoms of hypothyroidism for AT LEAST 30 years. I was diagnosed almost 2 years ago but wish I could go back in time and start iodine and Armour thyroid when I was 21, it would have avoided many surgeries and pregnancy losses. fcbogart wrote: > > I just joined the group and I'm fascinated by all the info on iodine in > the files.
