Guest guest
Tina, you speak for a lot of us! The soreness gets linked with accomplishment and feeling good and a myriad of other positive feelings and it feeds on itself Increased energy, feelings of self worth, promises kept, more sunshine on the inside, more bounce in the step. One day I was walking along and stepped off a curb and really noticed that my " landing " felt less jarring, noticeably more cushioned. Not a big thing and yet very big. Or the time I had finally after months progressed where I could do a 20 minute aerobic solution running instead of only beginning to run on my 10 at minute 19. It's a very nice obsession! Enjoy, it's one obsession that pays you back many times over and makes the rest of your life a little better! Kit
Guest guest
I know how you feel. It took me a while to finally get myself back to the gym, despite the knowledge that once I get into it I love it. Now, other than the 10 mins I lie in bed in the morning dreading getting up, I feel wonderful. I had an excellent cardio workout this morning, where I nearly collapsed off of the crosstrainer, but boy do I feel good for it now. And yesterday was probably my best UBW to date. Another thanks to people for the more protein suggestion. I tried it yesterday and had a lot more energy. Here's hoping the trend continues and it was all down to the protein. I'm usually awake before then as the kids get up and are rather noisy, but I usually don't drag my carcass from the sack until then. Guest guest
Go to http://www.msm-msm.com/ You will get more info than you need. It would certainly be worth a try for arthritis. you may try DMSO as well as it penetrates better and the body converts it to MSM. Guest guest
Hi Jim, Actually, MSM does help with arthritis but I'll tell you another remedy I read on another list. Apparently, there was a person that suffered with arthritis in her hip for 15 years. Took a concoction of raisins soaked in gin. Ate 9 a day and within a week most of the pain in her hip was gone. I'm trying it now for pain in general and it does seem to help with pain. It's very relaxing. I just put a hand full of raisins in a cup and cover it with gin. You're suppose to let the gin evaporate, which could take a few days, but I just went ahead and ate 9 the following day. I don't have arthritis so can't really say if it helps with that. There's something about the gin that is suppose to be helpful for pain. Might want to give that a try. GAil
Guest guest
I am not a big fan of gin but it sounds like a viable idea. I just happen to have two 1 pound boxes of rasins wasting away in my cupboard I sometimes eat hands full just for a sweet snack. I must be cautious of what I try since many non prescription things would react undesireably with the 15 odd medications I am on. Guest guest
Well, I DID feel fantastic. Today every muscle in my body aches including the muscles in my toes. No exagerration. My fingers are retaining water also. Not because of my diet; I've been faithful all week to low salt, no refined sugar, etc--1000 cal or less/day. So the muscle aches must be from detoxing from everything. I looked on the website regarding bromide detox and didnt' see anything about muscle aches and water retention. I'd take Ibuprofen but want to let the liver detox; am drinking water with lemon. Any suggestions for the muscle pain? thank you, Vj
Guest guest
You are eating 1,000 cal or less? That will put your body into starvation mode. You may be dumping toxins in which case your body will buffer it with water causing edema. What are your temps like? Try taking a basal (under arm before rising) and then 3 times through out the day starting 3 hours after you rise. Keep track of them. Take the average of the 3 day temps and see if they are low. It's hard to know what is going on. Steph Muscle Aches > Well, I DID feel fantastic. Today every muscle in my body aches > including the muscles in my toes. No exagerration. Guest guest
You will have ups and downs as your body recovers and heals. Mine did that and it was hard to take the low days.
