Guest guest
I want to address your question about " taking something to move metals " while still having amalgams. I speak from a lot of experience and a fair amount knowledge on this subject. It is never a good idea to chelate for mercury while still having amalgams in your mouth. This can actually accelerate the absorption of mercury into your body, your organs, and your brain. Since this is off topic, you can contact me off list if you wish to discuss further. > > Hi. Guest guest
The problem with this is that iodine does move mercury out into the blood stream and you need to have something to help the body detox it out. Yes it is not a good idea to use chelation but that is generally higher doses than what you would do to naturally support the removal of what is circulating. This is on topic as it relates to iodine moving mercury off the receptors. I would hate to have someone do nothing for fear that they will be repoisoned. That could be worse IMHO. Many people can never afford to remove amalgams. It is controversial and like everything else your own biochemical makeup will dictate your experience. Guest guest
No it does not chelate - it knocks it off the receptors where iodine belongs. Guest guest
Steph, What should I watch for or how will I recognize detox symptoms? I started 3 pills today (37.5) and also increased Armour within last week to 10 days. Also started metagenics Adrenal supports (Adrenogen and Licorice Plus). I am feeling horrible. Tired & extremely grumpy, depressed and mentally worried. It’s like I’m a little anxious, but no physical signs of anxiety, just worrisome thoughts. Want to lay down and sleep, but have two kids to watch. It is taking me hours to do something that should take 15 minutes and cleaning the kitchen seems insurmountable. I don’t know if these are hypo symptoms or detox or something else. What is a middle of the road something I can do until I get the amalgams out? Thanks! Guest guest
... I thought that iodine would cause mercury to be excreted along with the bromide. I thought I read this somewhere. Is this not the case? Lorie > >> > >> I want to address your question about " taking something to move > >> metals " while still having amalgams. Guest guest
It is but not all of it is probably removed. We really have no idea. Iodine does not bind to the mercury. Guest guest
Selenium is supposed to bind to mercury - not sure if it helps to remove it but it is supposed to deactivate it. It probably also helps to be taking something like Milk Thistle to protect and support the liver and kidneys. Gail > >>
Guest guest
Yes it does. Guest guest
Look at www.breastcancerchoices.org Iodine info and you will find issues with bromism.
