The only way to know is to try iodine again but my hunch is no it is not related.

Iodine and Breakout in a 3 year old

I gave one drop of 5% Lugol's to my 3 year old daughter and she seemed pretty miserable that day. A couple days later her face broke out in a horrible rash with fluid filled pustules that scabbed over. We took her to the Doc and they diagnosed it as impetigo. I'm wondering if the two could be connected. Three days later and she is almost complete over it. Is her reaction possibly connected to the iodine?

I forgot to add that maybe you would do better to use detoxified or nascent iodine for your daughter. My kids took detoxified until they were 4 and 7 and then we switched them to Iodoral.
