Guest guest
Yes. DO NOT drink " tincture of iodine " . It's meant for topical use only. And it's not even very good for that: alcohol dries out wounds and it also stings like anything. For topical use, povidone iodine is a lot better. For oral use, use something like Lugols. There is also this: many alcohol-based products in the store are " denatured' ... which means they add stuff to make you sick if you drink them. This is because, I was told, some alcoholics would drink, say, a bottle of perfume in a pinch. In any case, they are NOT meant to be consumed! Guest guest
Can we not apply a 2% tincture to the skin and have it be absorbed by the body that way? I did the patch test on my inner arm and it disappeared within 6 hours or so, which means I'm deficient. So now I'm wondering why I can't just keep applying the iodine to my skin? Here's the patch test info: http://www.wellnesswithin.com/articles/Iodine%20Patch%20Test.pdf Thanks, Laurel > > --- In iodine , "
