Guest guest
Hi, My number for the iodide spot test is 0.109L and for the I & I loading, 25L and I & I saturation, 50L. I talked with Dr Flechas on the phone and he told me to start with 50 mg of Iodoral, do the ATP co-factors and the supplements too and do it for 2-3 years with periodic retesting. I still don't have a sense of the numbers. The number for the spot test, 0.109L falls within the range of 0.100 and 0.150mg which defines a borderline deficiency. Dr Flechas didn't see it that way and said " I have a problem. " I started all this because my thermagraphy " showed increased hyperthermia but no evidence of increased density or new blood supply. " Any thoughts? Anyway we are supposed to report our results.
Guest guest
I am still fuzzy on spot testing numbers - I need to clarify it with Dr. Brownstein. Your loading test / saturation numbers do show that you are 50% saturated. Goal is 90%. So you have a way to go. I would say that it will take at least 2-3 years at 50 to get saturated. I have been on doses from 50 - 125 and still am registering 64%. Guest guest
I don't know Dr. Brownstein's thoughts on the spot test, but Dr. Shevin said last year that he saw no correlation in his patients with the spot test and deficiency/sufficiency. He said it was only an indication of how much iodine was ingested in the last 24 hours. If I remember correctly he also said that he tested himself a number of times and got various readings.
