Metformin and Iodine are safe to take together. 2. The issue with contrast iodine test dyes and metformin is that both are toxic to the kidneys nad they create an overload. It is the dye not the iodine that causes this issue. ================ That's good to know. I've been taking both for a while. I guess its OK to increase the iodorol.
