Iodoral & Constipation

Does Iodoral cause constipation??? I started taking 1 Iodoral twice a

day last wednesday after my biopsy, along with 6000mg Vit.C a day and

then this week I bump up the Iodoral to 2 twice a day and I all of a

sudden became constipated and went 3 days without a bowel movement. I

also noticed that after I bumped it up to twice a day, I could not

sleep at night. (even with 2 Tylenol PM) I take my second dose around

3:00 in the afternoon. I did not take my second dose yesterday and

still could not sleep, so I got up and took 1 Tylenol PM and di finally

fall asleep. Is all of this common?

I also did the iodine patch test on my upper arm and it was gone in 8

hours. So I'm taking it that I am severely iodine deficient?

Anybody have any thoughts on all of this?

I am getting ready to fly to VA. tomorrow morning to welcome my first

grandbaby into this world, so I want to be able to sleep at night and

know that I am doing everything right while I am gone, so that I will

be able to help my daughter. I have not had a chance to get any

Selenium yet, so I plan to get that done today. Is there anything in

particular that I need to look for when purchasing it from the Health

Food store? Any certain brand, mg, or type of selenium that I need to

look for? I have heard that Soloray is supposed to be a good brand and

that is one of the brands that my Health Food store sells.
