The diagnosis is hidden; Pulmonary arterial Hypertension.

It seems like something that Iodine would help ?? before she is put to sleep on Sunday or before...

Any thoughts on this ??

Thanks

A special service dog can't breathe with Pulmonery Arterial hypertension

Time is critical for this very special toy service dog. She is at the Specialists' and can't breathe due to the small arteries throughout the lungs narrow. Which increase the resistance to blood flow through her lungs.Would Iodine help her? She is a young dog....They live in New Hampshire where Jcrows is.Thanks,

I came up with something from the website, that Iodine does help hypertension. It helps the blood, however I don't know if it can help the 'bloodflow' to her lungs. But it helps the heart??

I think a lot of this is unchartered territory. I was just thinking of the

saying Dr. B quotes from old medicine - " When you don't know the how or why

prescribe then KI " .

Unrefined salt helps hypertension too.

Thanks . All I can do is pass the info on to the owners of the dog in trouble.

I agree, that this is uncharted waters. I found that Iodine provides protection of double bonds in lipids for delivery to cartivascular system & synaptic membranes in the brain.

Right - then the unrefined sea salt helps with the hypertension also...

We shall see if this is anything they will take seriously. I just feel better passing the info on now, rather than finding out later it would have helped their dog after..

Many of us will be praying as well. All God's creatures are important.

Let us know how things go.

You tried . That's all you can do. I just had a friend die of breast cancer. It kills me because I tried to tell her about iodine and what Dr. B had done for me and she wouldn't listen. Did the chemo and radiation and it met'd to her bones. It makes me sad but I couldn't force her to do it.

Steph, Sorry about your friend. I think it is just too simple to believe, and the literature by googling is not there for back up.

I am also sending pertinent info to a friend who has Prostrate cancer that spread to his symph glands. I wrote him today to please do the Iodine etc. before it is too late. I just don't think he is going to do it either. His doctors and NP don't know about it... So what do I know.

This dog is not even home. The dog is at some specialists place and will be put down if she continues to suffer with the respitory problems. The owner is beside herself of course. The dog is only 5 yrs old., and is Delta trained as a service dog.

If she would only try it. But I bet she won't as she does not have the dog with her.

I'd drive back there and do the Iodine and sea salt etc. myself to try to save my dog, as we know how powerful this is.

I lost dogs in the past from cancer no knowing what to do. Now I am going to start giving my dogs iodine in the mornings also. And give them sea salt, and a vit c. it's just nuts not too. My dogs are small though. 8 lbs and 10 lbs. Maybe just a drop in the water bowl (?)

I don't want them to get sick...

I feel at least we provided the information. Then we gave them an opportunity rather than not to have had it.

We can't save the World. Just our little corner of it...

Hugs,

Yes we keep trying - one saved is great. My Dr says that there is an old Jewish saying that if you save one you have saved the world. I agree. :)

As for your dogs you may want to get some detoxified iodine and use that as it is a bit weaker - although my mom has been putting a drop of lugol's in her cat's water and she is less than a year old and is doing well. My Persian cat died of lymphoma. I now found out that Vit D can be an issue for them too since they are inside all day and never get the needed sunlight. We have so much to learn!

I don't want to get too side-tracked but does iodine help dogs with

allergies? My lab is battling air-borne allergies. The vet says

prednisone and Claritan. Is iodine part of this? I know this site

isn't about animals...this thread got me thinking...I hate to have

her take prednisone and develop adrenal fatigue...

sorry about the service dog:(

Try a high dose of CoEnzyme Q10. Maybe 100 mgs or more? Give it with

fish oil for better absorption. I know that CoQ10 is excellent for

heart health. I am also wondering whether you have tried any enzymes

like Serrapeptase? It supposedly dissolves arterial plaque and blood

clots but I wouldn't take it on a prolonged basis since it might strip

the arteries of too much collagen and weaken the artery walls. Make

sure to supplement with Vitamin C which builds collagen and makes the

blood vessels strong.

my mini schnauzers are doing GREAT on 6.25mg Iodoral daily. I spent several hundred dollars at the vet (holistic) b/c one dog was barely walking. now he rolls around and runs with the other like a puppy.

Well I just read that the dog went to Rainbow Bridge last night at about 11AM. I think the dog's lungs just shut down.

Whatever the Vet gave the dog, it did not work.

I see this as just another example of the doctors not knowing what they are really able to do with things that have already been proven to work.

My friend in Florida has severe low cortisal levels. Her doctor told her that only with injections could she take something to help her.

Plus the doctor was not willing to give her the injections..

I read in Dr. B's book, low levels of Cortef.

Is there any place anyone knows of to get that without a Prescription ?

Thank you for all your input for the dog. Sounds like it was all too late for the dog anyways if she went on her own.

Gracia, how much does your mini schnauzer weigh? Also how do you give the dog the Iodine ?

I was thinking of just puting a horizontal drop of Lugals on their food to make sure they get it all.

Thanks,

Little Suzette died last night at around 11 AM today. I do not know whether she expired on her own, or with assistance.

So, too late for that family. Thanks,

I agree Steph. We are at least saving ourselves first!

I like the saying though!

I have Lugol's and the Atomic Iodine. I googled a few sites for 'detoxified iodine, however it said that the detoxified ws a denser state - sold as antiseptic or iodine tri-cloride (claiming to be atomized).

So now I am confused.

It would makes sense to have less where my pups only weigh 8 and & 10lbs.

Maybe in their water bowl is the best place rather than right on their food. (?)

Thanks,

my mini schnauzer was a runt of the litter, he might weigh 10--12 lbs. Doc said he had degenerative disc disease, but something else was going on b/c his stomach was hard to the touch. He was going downhill fast. I tried iodine b/c I was desperate.

I break an Iodoral tab in half and stick it in some ppl food like cheese, usually both dogs will swallow it.

He is 7 yo and seems to be doing great, back to his old self.

I take cortef every day and love it. I get it from http://www.mastersmarketing.com but now they require an Rx.

Gracia, Thank you for the info about your dogs wt etc. Now they require a script heh..

Things seem to be getting tighter here with things.... even though there are no 'Law' changes..

I think what is happening around is in the UK and Canada is affecting us in the States!

I am in the process of getting new tests with ZRT. I now need a script for what to test rather than the diagnostic codes.

Then I will be all set to do and send in the tests.. I know my adrenals and cortisal is very low. However to get any scripts, I will need the proof before I can ask.. Thank you, and so glad your dog is doing so much better!
