Co-Enzyme Q10 is available on the NHS. Could your brother persuade

his GP to prescribe it? I get the 100 mg tablets from my GP. They

are called Bio-Quinone Q10 and are produced in Denmark by Pharma Nord ApS.

She agreed to do this because I also see a private doctor who is a

member of the British Society for Ecological Medicine and she wrote to

my GP recommending it for me. If your brother could convince the GP

it would help him I don't see why he shouldn't get it on prescription.

made is the best and ones that are oil filled capsules (gel?) are

better absorbed by the body I know people here use it and I'd like

your advice please on where to buy it.

Hi

I am

sorry to hear about your brother and hope this has been caught early. You can

buy CoEnzymeQ10 fairly cheaply (because it is expensive) from www.iherb.com but I know nothing about using it

as a treatment for cancer. Have you tried googling " ConzymeQ10 Lung

Cancer " to see if there are any papers on this.

Luv -

Sheila

I'm very sorry to hear about your brother.

You are correct about the oil connection. You need oil to absorb CoQ10.

On the iherb.com site that Sheila mentioned, check out the Jarrow

brand of CoQ10. They did some research on it at some University lab

in the USA and it was found to raise CoQ10 blood levels and keep them

high for some hours. Its the only CoQ10 that I'm aware of having been

tested and proven in this way.

Secondly, if you can get a copy of " Health Defense " by Dr Clayton

(available from Amazon) you will get some excellent info on CoQ10 and

other anticancer foods and supplements. Clayton is a qualified doctor

who lectures in nutrition. In writing that book he reviewed thousands

of pieces of research to determine which supplements and foods have

been PROVEN to benefit health and improve our chances of living to a

healthy old age. He devotes a chapter specifically to cancer treatments.

Its an excellent book and very readable.

SOme of the foods he specifically mentions because of their cancer

fighting properties are;

a low fat, high fibre largely fruit and veg organic diet

cruciferous veg (kale, cabbage, brussels sprouts)

broccoli

citrus fruits

tomatoes

green tea

spinach

rosemary, thyme, oregano, garlic

onions

soy products

wheat or rice bran

walnuts

raspberries, blueberries, blackberries

turmeric

pears

shitake mushrooms

The supplements he recommends are

Antioxidants; Vit C, D, E, K, B group, CoQ10 and mixed carotenoids

Selenium, zinc, manganese and copper

prebiotics

Calcium & Vit D

Omega 3 & 6 oils

I can only summarise what he mentions; the chapter on cancer

specifically contains 30+ pages of info.

I hope your brother gets the help he needs.

Hi hon

So sorry about your brother.

Along with the Q10, you might like to get him to try this? As much as

I discount many 'cancer cures' it cannot cause any harm and it costs

practicly nothing, the directions are given on this website without

having to buy the book. So I will give you the link. I stumbled over

it the other day and it does use oils. Sounds HOT tho eeek.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if something like that worked? Maybe I am a

dreamer. Yes I am :)

Anything none invasive is worth a try don't you think?

God bless hon
