Guest guest
Hi Daphne, I use Avicel and it seems to work just fine for me. Have used it since last December with no bad effects. I don't remember where :-) I read about it, but per memory, it is a paper like filler, cellulose maybe?? Whatever. Works for me. Ok, time for me to lumber back into my cave. My pharmacist just told me that they're using Avicil (spelling?) as the filler...is that OK? does anyone know about this? 2. for the newbies like me: just a note to be careful to go to www.low dose naltrexone.org (NOT .com) I spent some time confused as the .com site is nothing but a links search to items for sale. Guest guest
Avicel is the filler that Skip's pharmacy uses. Skip's is one of the reputable compounders of LDN. Skip told me they chose to use Avicel because it avoids all of the possible issues with other fillers - lactose intolerance, etc. Skip did not think there could be any issue with Avicel; it is basically (his description) paper. However, a few in this group recently have voiced problems, which they attribute to Avicel filler. I have been getting my LDN from Skip's since June 1, 2004; no problems. Skip's seems very knowledgeable, and I'm sure he would be pleased to discuss any questions you might have. Tigard, Oregon On Tue, 5 Oct 2004 11:05:06 EDT gateswill@... writes: a couple of items: 1. Guest guest
Ditto, but since April 2003. I picked up my January refills in person. Skip gave me a tour of Skip's Pharmacy. I saw his diplomas on the wall, how they make LDN, and met his staff. Now I know where my pills are coming from, I have seen them being made. ----- Original Message ----- From: KELLY E COBURN low dose naltrexone Sent: Tuesday, October 05, 2004 22:31 Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] fillers & LDN sites Avicel is the filler that Skip's pharmacy uses.
